Budget 2015-16
Federal minster for finance presented the budget 2015-16 on 5th June 2015. Total volume of the budget is Rs.4.089 trillion rupees which was presented in the national assembly of Pakistan. The followings are the headings of the budget.
- 7.5Pc increase in salaries, and pensions.
- Two ad hoc relief allowances merged into basic pay scales.
- BISP gets Rs.102 billion.
- Tax rate on dividend income increased to 12.5 PC.
- Bricks, crushed stone exempted from sales tax.
- Rate of adjustable advance on income tax on vehicles transfer cut.
- EED on cigarettes increased by 5pc.
- PM youth skills development program to be extended to Madrasah students, Juvenile prisoners and victims of terrorism.
- Credit guarantee scheme for small and marginalized farmers to continue
- Minimum wages increased from Rs.12000 to Rs. 13000.
- 11.1 PC increase in defence budget.
